WHO IS MR. PIUS YAO ATTISE
Pius Yao Attise, born on 6th November 1958 in Keta, a administrative town in the Volta Region of Ghana, is a distinguished educationist, communications expert, and prolific writer. He began his academic journey at Keta Secondary School before pursuing higher education at the University of Ghana, Legon, where he graduated with a degree in English and Sociology. He later obtained an M.Phil. in Government and Politics of African States from the Institute of African Studies, Legon.Mr. Attise also undertook studies in Journalism and Communication at
the Ghana Institute of Journalism and the School of Communication Studies,
Legon, earning both a Diploma and a Master’s degree. With decades of experience
in the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service (GES), he rose to
the position of Director of Education. He served as Head of Public Relations
and Editor-in-Chief of the GES Journal, and as Special Assistant to the
Director General of GES. He held several other key roles at the GES
Headquarters in Accra.
A respected voice in media and academia, Mr. Attise has contributed
over 2,000 articles to national dailies and international platforms, covering
political, educational, and social issues. He was a part-time lecturer at the
African University College of Communications (AUCC), Accra, where he taught
courses in English Grammar, African and European Literature, and Literary
Criticism.
He also served as a Senior Examiner in English Language for the West
African Examinations Council (WAEC), bringing his deep scholarly insight to
bear on the assessment of students across the region.
Mr. Attise is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Eagle Eye
Communications International Group Ltd., a dynamic media, communications, and
consultancy firm. He is also the author of several bestselling works, widely
recognized for his contribution to education, literature, and public discourse
in Ghana and beyond.
